RISK ANALYSIS

Transafe provides expert guidance in analysing risk and managing road user hazards. The roadside often contains a variety of hazards that could be struck by a vehicle leaving the road, or obstruct the visibility of drivers on the road. When changes to existing road conditions occur, hazards such as trees and poles may become new problems from a safety point of view. However, the cost of removing these is often financially prohibitive, not physically possible or politically difficult for a variety of reasons.

In these circumstances, Transafe can provide definitive risk assessments to assist the project team. This usually involves recommending unique measures to protect such hazards and therefore minimise risk of incident to road users. We work closely with you to identify areas of risk in existing conditions and new or upgraded infrastructure, and recommend safety solutions.

Our risk analysis and hazard management services can be tailored to suit most transport related scenarios such as:

  • Risk analysis based on the risk associated with individual hazards such as utility poles, trees, and road furniture

  • Route analysis to identify specific hazards along set roadway lengths

  • Counter measures for existing hazards

  • Suggested risk control for new infrastructure such as utility poles, street art, and signage

  • Specialised protective measures for vulnerable road users such as motorcyclists, cyclists, and pedestrians

On average, 4 people are killed and 90 are seriously injured on
Australia's roads every day.
