Transafe brings together leading road safety professionals with over 20 years combined experience in providing the highest level of transport and road safety advice, and road design services. Our traffic engineers, senior road safety auditors and audit team leaders are accredited in all Australian states and each specialise in transport and road safety audits encompassing all stages and all manner of infrastructure projects.

 

Darren and Simon who lead the team at Transafe, are highly skilled in the fields of transport and road safety, and are constantly engaged to consult on major infrastructure projects around Australia.

Darren’s career commenced in local government as a road design engineer responsible for the planning, design and project management of major and minor road, drainage and traffic works. In this capacity, Darren developed a strong foundation in the field of road safety, encouraging him to transition into private consulting. Ever since, he has been involved in all stages of transport and road safety auditing and traffic engineering consultation.

Simon began his career as a traffic engineer in the private sector liaising with developers, Council and Vicroads before moving into the public sector as a road design engineer. His experience in both the private and public sector provided the basis from which his expertise in the field of road safety and traffic engineering developed.

​

A competitive road cyclist and keen motorcyclist, Simon draws on his real experience to provide specialist transport and road safety advice. Over the course of his career, Simon's experience has been invaluable in providing road and transport safety advice on major projects in Australia including:
